Symington Family Estates has two major wineries in the Douro, one at Quinta do Sol near Régua and another at Quinta do Bomfim near Pinhão. The main purpose of these wineries is to vinify the grapes that Symington purchases each harvest from over 1,200 growers spread across the Douro valley. These two wineries produce the largest volume of Port and Douro DOC wines. Additionally, the family owns seven small specialist wineries, each located on the family’s most important estates. Each of these wineries has its own team of oenologists, whose mission is to produce the best possible wines from the grapes of each property. (Illustrative image only)
