**Bons Ares** The Quinta dos Bons Ares is situated in the Upper Douro, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, on a very specific terroir thanks to its granite soils and altitude. These conditions give the grapes an uncommon acidity and aromatic potential for the region. Another distinctive feature of this wine is its blend of old‑world and new‑world varieties, combining traditional grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, with the international Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is fermented in granite vats and stainless‑steel tanks, a hallmark of the Casa Ramos Pinto estate that exemplifies innovative tradition—a modern classic. The grapes were hand‑picked in small baskets and immediately received at the estate’s winemaking center. Fermentation was carried out entirely in stainless‑steel vats at temperatures between 25 °C and 28 °C, followed by a long maceration period.
