Founded more than two centuries ago, in 1779, Bowmore is the first registered distillery on Islay and one of the oldest in all of Scotland. Islay malts are famed for their smoked peat aroma, and Bowmore is no exception. This whisky is carefully smoked in peat-fired ovens, just as its ancestors did more than 200 years ago.
