Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, with the ambition of introducing Portuguese wines to the world and a long‑term vision rooted in the quality of the wines sold, the importance of brand novelty, and the presentation of its products. Today led by the third generation of the founding family, Sogrape Vinhos increasingly faithfully meets the objective set at its inception: to be a family‑oriented company with an international vocation, focused on producing quality wines, innovation, and developing Portuguese brands of global standing. The company owns roughly 830 hectares of vineyards in Portugal. Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with time and art. This has been the case since its founding in the 18th century by Bernardo Ferreira, whose formula was refined by descendants, especially his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” or “Ferreirinha‑da‑Régua” by the people of her land. Under Dona Antónia’s leadership—she was twice widowed and still steered a great enterprise—Ferreira was admirably consolidated.
