Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes with the ambition of introducing Portuguese wines to the world, guided by a long‑term vision rooted in the quality of the wines sold, the novelty of the brands, and the presentation of its products. Today, led by the third generation of the founding family, Sogrape Vinhos increasingly fulfills the objective it set at its inception: to be a family‑run, internationally focused company that concentrates on producing quality wines, fostering innovation, and developing Portuguese brands of global calibre. The company owns roughly 830 hectares of vineyards across Portugal. Casa Ferreirinha and its wines have long been synonymous with time and artistry. Since its establishment in the eighteenth century by Bernardo Ferreira, the wine’s formula has been refined by his descendants, most notably by his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” or “Ferreirinha‑da‑Régua” among the people of her homeland. Through her leadership—after being widowed twice—Dona Antónia admirably consolidated the company.
