Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes with the aim of introducing Portuguese wines to the world, grounded in a long‑term commitment to quality, brand innovation and presentation. Today, led by the third generation of the founding family, the company is faithfully pursuing its original goal: to be a family‑run, internationally focused business dedicated to producing quality wines, fostering innovation, and developing globally competitive Portuguese brands. Sogrape manages around 830 hectares of vineyards across Portugal. Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with time and artistry. Since its 18th‑century founding by Bernardo Ferreira, the formula has been refined by his descendants, most notably his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira—affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” or “Ferreirinha‑da‑Régua” by locals. As a twice‑widowed leader, she admirably steered the enterprise, her entrepreneurial spirit teaching her to foresee, decide, create, teach and love, making her a charismatic figure of great influence.
