Sommelier Edition is the result of a collaboration between the Portuguese Sommelier Association and Casa Relvas, aimed at honoring this noble profession in the world of wine. This white wine, with a lemon‑yellow hue and golden lacing, was made from the Arinto and Antão Vaz grape varieties. It offers great aromatic complexity, suggesting dried fruits and honey notes; on the palate it is fresh, with fine acidity and a pronounced body, making it a mineral‑rich, harmonious wine with a long finish. Casa Relvas is a family‑run project that began in 1997 in São Miguel de Machede, in Redondo, by Alexandre Relvas. It seeks to continue the legacy of five generations, driven by a deep passion for Alentejo and its authentic character. Over the years the family has grown alongside the business, and today the estate spans roughly 750 hectares of mixed forest, 225 hectares of olive groves, and 350 hectares of vineyards—all under integrated production. With its three estates—Herdade de São Miguel, Herdade da Pimenta, and Herdade de São Miguel de Machede—Casa Relvas can produce about 6 million bottles of wine each year, 70 % of which are destined for the international market, making the brand available in more than 30 countries worldwide and offering the best of Alentejo.
