The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always strives to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We conduct a selection of brands/regions that, by nature, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. However, we point out that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even while sealed in a bottle, its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of closure. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to produce. (Illustrative image only)
