Casa de Krug was established in Reims in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a nonconformist visionary with an unyielding philosophy. Having understood that the true essence of Champagne is pleasure itself, his dream was to produce the best Champagne every year, regardless of annual climate variations. By paying attention to the character of the vineyard, respecting the individuality of each plot and its wine, he built an extensive library of reserve wines from different years, allowing Joseph Krug to produce champagne with a level of distinction.
