The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, yet it chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, in general, display distinct characteristics in old wine tastings. However, we must note that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even within a bottle, aromas evolve in various ways. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and allow the wine to aerate beforehand, which will help liberate its natural aromas after so many years sealed.
