The bottles of older wines may show dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. Garrafeira Nacional is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that reflects their age. We select brands/regions that, by nature, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that, even while sealed in a bottle, continues to evolve over time, and its aromas are subject to various changes. Accordingly, Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, which helps release its natural aromas after many years of closure.
