According to its age, the wines may show signs of time, such as dust on the bottles and/or some label damage—common in wines that have spent decades in storage. The National Cellar stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity but always maintains the visual appearance appropriate to their age. We usually select brands/regions that perform well in vintage wine competitions. However, wine is a living organism that, like everything else, is exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an aged wine. We recommend opening the bottle and letting it breathe first, which helps release the natural aromas after so many years closed. Avoid decanting, as this may be too aggressive for old wines.
