Dona Paterna The Dona Paterna winery, run by Carlos Alberto Codesso, is situated at Quinta da Carvalheira, in the centre of the parish of Paderne, near the town of Melgaço. The Codesso family has been growing Alvarinho grapes since 1974, and in 1990 they began their own production and bottling under the Dona Paterna label. “This wine has everything to win over anyone who tastes it: freshness, lightness, and a profile that adapts to any table. It is a classic combination from our region, crafted with respect for tradition and refined with time and experience,” says Carlos Codesso, the producer.
