Old wine bottles may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, in general, reveal distinct characteristics in old wine tastings. However, we note that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, is subject to various evolutions over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which an old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
