“El Duende Grande Reserva is a wine that delightfully subverts expectations. The colour, a deep, murky oil, hints at a truly soulful experience. The nose reveals a captivating interplay of oxidation, a touch of gunpowder – which, admittedly, adds a wonderfully nostalgic charm – and bright crystallized fruit notes, suggesting a remarkably mature vintage. On the palate, it begins elegantly, but quickly bursts with an unexpectedly generous volume, reminiscent of a fine cigar. A wine of singular character, ideally paired with grilled beef or aged cheeses.”
