This wine is made from Baga, Alfrocheiro, and Touriga Nacional grapes, harvested on slopes facing the Castle of Penela. After a traditional winemaking process and six months of aging in oak barrels, it presents a rich, violet‑tinted color with a very aromatic profile, highlighting fruity aromas, a delicate vinous perfume, and a hint of spiciness. On the palate it remains fruity, persistent, and lively, thanks to its acidity and rich tannins. On the western‑southward slope of the Criveira, with a stunning view of the Castle of Penela, wines are produced by the skilled artisans of Terras de Sicó, blending traditional techniques with modern enological methods while respecting the region’s rich heritage. Here the wines come from the Beira Altmontana region, where the soil is predominantly clayey‑calcareous, giving the grapes an incredible freshness.
