This Fita Preta appears to have staged a rather successful rebellion in the vineyard, thanks to the meticulously hand-picked harvest and its spontaneous fermentation – a process that, frankly, seems to have given it a certain "do-it-yourself" charm. The result is a wine of a deep ruby-violet hue, boasting the generous aromas that Grandes Escolhas were already predicting, with warm red fruit, a touch of toast, and a whisper of eucalyptus hinting at a distinctive terroir. On the palate, it’s undeniably full-bodied and ripe, yet possesses a refreshing lift that would pair beautifully with grilled beef.
