Freixo Inspired by the rural landscape and the vineyard, the wines of Herdade do Freixo essentially convey the essence of its terroir! They are genuine country wines, produced with varieties that have proven best suited to the estate's climate and soils, and simultaneously with less obvious varieties that enhance elegance and a distinctive savoir-faire. Following the most demanding international production processes, they combine tradition and modernity, always prioritising concentration, longevity, freshness, and finesse. The Arinto, Sauvignon Blanc, and Alvarinho grapes were harvested during the cool mornings on the slope of Serra d'Ossa. After racking and pressing, fermentation occurs at low temperatures; 30 % of the batch is aged in second‑use French oak barrels, with batonnage for two months. The fermentation and maturation process takes place in an underground cellar under optimal humidity and temperature conditions, where the wine is crafted, filtered, and bottled young to preserve all fruit and freshness. Ideal with fresh fish dishes, sushi and sashimi, salads, white meats, and grilled red meats. Allergen information: contains sulfites. SKU: 104954
