**Real Companhia Velha PORT WINE** Port wine is, by definition, a fortified wine, full-bodied and rich in aroma, produced in the Douro Demarcated Region, the oldest demarcated wine region in the world. Made from grape varieties traditionally grown in the region, its winemaking process is characterized by the addition of grape spirit to the must during fermentation, which halts the fermentation and preserves part of the grape's natural sugars. Porto Fundador is one of Portugal's historic Port wine brands. Launched on the market in 1928, it has become a benchmark for its quality and its profile as a Tawny Port aged for 5 years. **WINEMAKING AND AGEING** The wines destined for the Porto Fundador blend begin fermentation in self-vinifying vats, with skin contact, and fermentation is subsequently halted by the addition of grape spirit. The wines selected for the blend are aged in oak balseiros, a traditional method that preserves the fruity aromas, freshness and balance characteristic of this Tawny Port. **SERVING INSTRUCTIONS** Store the bottles in a cool (around 16 ºC), dry place, protected from light. Serve at a temperature of 16 ºC. Enjoy this young Tawny Port as an aperitif or digestif, perfectly paired with chocolate desserts, fine pastries, dessert dishes based on nuts, or moments of pure tasting pleasure. **Allergen information** Contains sulfites.
