Originating from Bairrada, between the foothills of Serra do Buçaco and the sea, Giz is a wine that uniquely expresses the characteristics of the calcareous soils from which it comes. Derived from century‑old vines and produced from native grape varieties planted in poor, stony soils, the intervention in the production process is minimal, both in the vineyard and the winery. Thus, after artisanal vinification, the wine rests for eight months in French oak barrels, yielding a nectar that is unmasked, authentic, structured, elegant and complex, full of individuality and character.
