Casa Relvas is a family‑owned venture that began in 1997 in São Miguel de Machede, Redondo, by Alexandre Relvas. It seeks to carry forward a five‑generation legacy rooted in a deep passion for the Alentejo and its authentic nature. Over the years the family has grown hand in hand with the business, and today the estate spans roughly 750 hectares of montado forest, 225 hectares of olive grove, and 350 hectares of vineyards—all operated under integrated production. With its three properties—Herdade de São Miguel, Herdade da Pimenta, and Herdade de São Miguel de Machede—Casa Relvas can annually produce about 6 million bottles of wine. Seventy percent of that output is destined for the international market, and the winery is present in more than 30 countries worldwide, showcasing the best of Alentejo. (Illustrative image only)
