Casa Relvas is a family‑owned venture that began in 1997 in São Miguel de Machede, Redondo, by Alexandre Relvas. It was created to carry on a five‑generation legacy rooted in a deep passion for the Alentejo region and its authentic nature. Over the years the family has grown hand in hand with the business, and today the estate spans roughly 750 hectares of montado forest, 225 hectares of olive grove, and 350 hectares of vineyards—all cultivated under 100 % integrated production. With its three properties—Herdade de São Miguel, Herdade da Pimenta, and Herdade de São Miguel de Machede—Casa Relvas can produce about six million bottles of wine each year. Seventy percent of that output is destined for the international market, and the company is now present in more than 30 countries worldwide, delivering the finest wines the Alentejo has to offer.
