Casa Relvas is a family‑run venture that began in 1997 in São Miguel de Machede, Redondo, by Alexandre Relvas, aiming to carry on a five‑generation legacy steeped in a genuine love for the Alentejo and its natural beauty. Over the years the family and business grew hand in hand, and today they steward roughly 750 ha of montado forest, 225 ha of olive grove and 350 ha of vineyard—all in integrated production. With the three estates – Herdade de São Miguel, Herdade da Pimenta and Herdade de São Miguel de Machede – Casa Relvas can annually produce about 6 million bottles, 70 % of which go to the international market, making it a presence in over 30 countries and delivering the best of the Alentejo.
