This Honrado Mondadeira is a truly heartfelt tribute to the hard work of the Alentejo – it genuinely feels like it sprung straight from the fields. The producer’s daring combination of red and white grapes – a tradition known as “Petroleiro” – perfectly captures the essence of the land. Fermented in chestnut wood barrels with beeswax, and kept in contact with the grape skins, it boasts a wonderfully unique texture and an intensely earthy character, paying homage to its ancient connection to the soil. A limited edition, undoubtedly, best enjoyed with grilled meats or aged cheeses for a truly harmonious pairing.
