The bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar stores all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, yet it always retains the visual character inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct traits in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism, and even in a bottle, aromas evolve over time. Consequently, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. We recommend opening the bottle and letting the wine aerate first, which will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to observe the sediment that an old wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image)
