Mort Mitchell, founder of the Kilikanoon estate, christened this wine in tribute to Mr. Killerman, who taught him the secrets of the land when he was young. Legend has it that the man lived alone in a modest cabin on the hills of the Clare Valley, where he was self‑sufficient. This is a 100 % Shiraz monovarietal aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. The result is a tasty, smooth and elegant red with great complexity, and the cellar foresees a magnificent ageing potential.
