This Kranemann Vintage 2018 feels like it’s sprung straight from a Douro fairytale. The deep ruby colour hints at the intensity revealed on the nose, with ripe wild berries intertwining with spice notes and, of course, a touch of tobacco – a classic Douro signature. On the palate, it’s a powerful wine with firm tannins, promising longevity, balanced by a refreshing acidity reminiscent of the Távora Valley. It’s a rich, exuberant wine, utterly delightful with a good aged cheese or a hearty game dish.
