Casa Krug was founded in Reims in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a non‑conformist visionary with an uncompromising philosophy. Understanding that the true essence of Champagne is pleasure itself, his dream was to produce the best Champagne each year, regardless of annual weather variations. By paying attention to the character of the vines, respecting the individuality of each plot—and of his wine—he built an extensive library of reserve wines from different vintages, enabling Joseph Krug to produce Champagne with a distinguished level.
