The Lima Mayer wines are produced at Quinta de São Sebastião in Monforte, which was part of one of the most traditional and prestigious agricultural estates in Alto Alentejo, owned by the Marquis of Praia and Monforte. Its terrain is gentle, the soils are granite, and the estate is largely covered by a scrub of azinho and sobro, with some rocky outcrops. It is bounded by two streams that provide a huge contribution to water resources, giving the landscapes extraordinary beauty. On 20 hectares of vineyards, they select a range of the best Iberian and French varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Aragonês. (illustrative image only)
