Looks Grande Reserva Tinto is a red wine from the Douro, Portugal, produced by Quinta Vale d'Aldeia. The winemaking is by José Eduardo Reverendo Conceição. It shows an intense ruby colour. On the nose, ripe black fruit, rockrose and floral notes. On the palate, full-bodied, firm tannins and good freshness. It pairs well with grilled red meats, roast kid goat and aged cheeses. Serve at 16–18 °C. At 14% ABV, it comes in a 0.75 L bottle. To get the most from this red, open the bottle a few minutes before serving and pour it into a wide-bowled glass, which lets the aromas breathe. For younger, more concentrated wines, a brief decanting helps soften the tannins. Store the bottle on its side, in a cool, dark place free from temperature fluctuations. Once opened, reseal it and keep it in the refrigerator to preserve the aromas.
