The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that corresponds to their age. We conduct a selection of brands/regions that, in general, display distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we remind you that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even when sealed in a bottle, its aromas are subject to different evolutions. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be patient and watch for the appearance of sediment, which a vintage wine tends to produce. (Illustrative image)
