Maçanita Viosinho Branco is a white wine from the Douro, Portugal, produced by Maçanita - Irmãos e Enólogos. The winemaking is signed by Joana Maçanita and António Maçanita. It is made from the Viosinho grape variety. Vintage 2022. WINEMAKING: The grapes are hand-harvested and transported in 18 kg crates. At the winery, whole-cluster direct pressing is followed by spontaneous fermentation in horizontal vats. Aged for 5 months in stainless steel. The wine shows a lemon-yellow colour. The aroma is of pineapple, with notes of citrus fruit. A fresh, pure and mineral wine that embraces all the fruit and exuberance of the Viosinho grape at the same time. It pairs well with oysters, shellfish, pasta, grilled fish and composed salads. Serve at 10 °C. 12.5% vol., presented in a 0.75 L bottle. Serve this white very chilled, but not ice-cold, in a medium-sized glass that concentrates the aromas. If the bottle comes out of the fridge too cold, let it stand for a few minutes at room temperature so the wine can reveal its full expression. Store the bottle on its side, in a cool, dark place without temperature fluctuations. Once opened, reseal it and keep it in the refrigerator to preserve the aromas.
