Jorge is the fifth generation in a long line of wine producers and cellar owners. In 2009, Sandra and Jorge acquired Quinta da Manoella, a property whose history dates back to 1838. The vineyards at Quinta da Manoella are over a hundred years old, flanked on both sides by younger vines, allowing the production of wines with exceptional freshness and delicacy, and with a concentration that quickly establishes them as some of the best wines from the Douro. Founded in 2001 by the winemaking duo Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, the company Wine & Soul has been investing in and purchasing old vines and properties in the Rio Pinhão valley.
