The Maritávora N.º 1 Grande Reserva Biológico white wine is crafted from a centuries‑old vineyard, over 130 years old, where the Douro’s traditional varieties Códega do Larinho, Rabigato, Viosinho and others grow side by side. Fermentation takes place in used French oak barrels, followed by six months of aging in the wood, including three months of bâtonnage, which add complexity and texture. The wine presents an elegant, deep profile, where the freshness and mineralism typical of old vines are complemented by a subtle oak influence. On the palate it offers excellent volume, an enveloping texture and balanced acidity, giving a precise and sophisticated structure. The finish is long, persistent and harmonious, reflecting the unique character of this century‑old vineyard and the authenticity of organic viticulture.
