Depending on its age, the wines may show signs left by time, such as dust on the bottles and/or some damage to the labels—common in bottles that have spent decades in storage. The National Cellar stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it keeps the visual appearance that reflects their age. We typically choose brands/regions that perform well in old‑wine competitions. Wine is a living organism that, like everything else, is subject to time; even inside a bottle, aromas evolve in different ways. Consequently, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed.
