Over time the wine deepens, yet its youthful, exuberant fruit aromas—once vivid after the first winter—become more restrained, though still prominently felt on the palate with plum and blackberry notes. The tannins are firm and granular, lending great elegance. In the mouth it is slightly sweet, balanced by a strong structure and a long, lingering finish.
