Entering the Port wine market as a merchant, he quickly established a business that would prove prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born, an indispensable producer in the world of wine and recognized as one of the most important figures who has worked, and continues to work, for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with several dozen producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also preparing his own legacy with those with whom he is always creating irreverent wines.
