As a merchant entering the Port wine market, he quickly established a business that proved both prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort emerged—a pivotal figure in the world of wine, recognized as one of the most important personalities who has worked, and continues to work, for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while simultaneously building his legacy alongside those who always create bold, irreverent wines.
