The colour is a bright onion‑hued shade reminiscent of a classic Provence Rosé. Its delicate nose reveals hints of violet, red fruit and rhubarb, along with nutty aromas from fermentation in new French oak barrels. This is a serious Rosé, full of complexity and character. In the mouth it offers good acidity and a light structure, finishing with a dry, slightly spicy note. In Portugal’s wine landscape there is no producer more widely respected than Niepoort. The company’s long history began in 1842 when the first Van Der Niepoort arrived in Portugal. Starting out in the Port wine market as a merchant, he quickly established a business that would prove both prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born—a force in the wine world, recognized as one of the most influential figures to have worked for and continues to work for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also shaping his own legacy with those who are constantly creating bold, irreverent wines.
