O Palmeirim d'Inglaterra Vinhas Velhas White is a wine of distinct character, sourced from vines over 80 years old planted on granitic soils with a sandy texture at 350 metres altitude. After hand‑harvest and stainless‑steel fermentation, it ages for six months on fine lees and eight months in bottle, ensuring complexity and elegance. Aromas reveal citrus fruits, aromatic herbs, white flowers and stone‑fruits, unfolding in layers. On the palate it is fresh, dry and textured, with refined acidity and a long finish, making it a gastronomy‑friendly wine with great aging potential. The vines are located in the Chaves sub‑region, between the valleys of the Tâmega and Ribeira de Oura, within the Trás‑os‑Montes wine region, on granitic, sandy and gritty soils. The current owners come from families long rooted in these lands and sought to preserve the memory of their ancestors, producing quality wines that, combined with other activities, elevate the culture of this unique territory.
