Poeira After producing seven vintages as an oenologist at Real Companhia Velha, Jorge Moreira felt the need to launch a personal project where he could apply his ideas and control every step of the production process. With no compromises, he set out to create a wine that would reflect his interpretation of the Douro. In 2001 he began the Poeira project in Provesende, along a slope in the Pinhão valley on the right bank of the river that bears the same name. One vine, one inspiration—an exploration of a more elegant and subtle side of the Poeira vineyards. This wine celebrates women in general, and one in particular, Olga Martins.
