A Adega de Ponte de Lima was founded in 1959 in the town of Ponte de Lima, the oldest village in Portugal. With about 2,000 affiliated producers, it is one of the largest in the Vinho Verde region, which together with its families and workers represents the most important economic and social structure in the municipality. The wines of Adega de Ponte de Lima come from the vinification of perfectly ripe grapes of regional varieties sourced from its members’ vineyards, ensuring the authenticity and character of genuine Vinho Verde. In the white wines, Loureiro has a special expression, thanks to its magnificent adaptation to the terroir of Ribeira Lima, producing a wine highly prized for its aroma and excellent organoleptic qualities. In the red wines, Vinhao stands out, yielding exceptional single‑varietal wines that are unmistakably fragrant with red and wild fruits and deliver a refined palate.
