Adega de Ponte de Lima was founded in 1959 in Ponte de Lima, the oldest village in Portugal. With around 2,000 associated producers, it is one of the largest in the Vinho Verde region, which, together with its families and workers, constitutes the most significant economic and social structure in the municipality. The wines of Adega de Ponte de Lima result from the vinification of perfectly ripe grapes of regional varieties sourced from the vineyards of its members, ensuring the authenticity and character of genuine Vinho Verde. In the white wines, Loureiro expresses itself especially through its magnificent adaptation to the terroir of Ribeira Lima, producing a wine highly prized for its aroma and excellent organoleptic characteristics. In the reds, Vinhao stands out, yielding exceptional single‑varietal wines; it is distinguished by its unmistakable aroma of red and wild fruits and its refined palate. (Illustrative image only)
