This "Proibido Marufo" – aptly named, perhaps – clearly has a rebellious streak. Grown on a 30-year-old vineyard in the Douro Superior, with that distinctive Mourisco flourish beneath the vines, it’s predicted to develop beautifully in the bottle. Expect a lively conversation with hearty meats and robust cheeses. The spontaneous fermentation and extended aging in 400L barrels contribute to its character, which bursts with blackberry, raspberry and plum notes – a truly exuberant wine with plenty of personality.
