Red wine made from the grapes Touriga Nacional, Jaen, Alfrocheiro, Rufete and Tinta Roriz, sourced from vines aged between 20 and 100 years, it embodies the true essence of the Dão with minimal intervention. Fermented in granite vats, it boasts rich aromas of fresh wild fruit, harmonised with floral notes. On the palate it is authentic, enveloping and long‑lasting. The estate that lends its name to the Quinta das Queimas project is one of the most beautiful and oldest family vineyards. Located on the southeast bank of the Dinha River, sloping westward and partially walled by a very old wall, this vineyard covers a large area of vines planted in the late 1920s. The granite and sandy soil provide an exceptional combination for this vineyard and, subsequently, for the wines produced there. (illustrative image only)
