"Quinta da Casa Amarela" is situated on the left bank of the Douro River, in an area classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, halfway between the towns of Régua and Lamego, at the heart of the world's oldest demarcated wine region – the Douro. It has been owned by the same family since 1885. The house, rebuilt and expanded in the early twentieth century, lends its name to the estate because it is painted yellow. The family‑run business continues the region’s multi‑centennial traditions in producing Port wine and Douro Denomination of Origin wine. (illustrative image only)
