According to its age, the wines may show signs of time such as dust on the bottles and/or label damage, a common occurrence in bottles that have been stored for decades. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We generally select brands and regions that typically perform well in old wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism, exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe first, as this will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years closed.
