Carvalhas Branco

Descrição

**Quinta das Carvalhas** Quinta das Carvalhas is the oldest and most emblematic property of Real Companhia Velha. Thanks to its immense historical heritage and an intensive, rational requalification, it today represents the best we have and are capable of achieving. These wines reflect our soil, our sun, our vineyards, our history, and all of our knowledge. Carvalhas Branco was born in 2010 from an ambitious approach to small plots of white grapes located at one of the highest points of the Quinta, where the Viosinho and Gouveio varieties benefit from high altitude (400 m) and cool breezes, providing ideal conditions for the ripening of white grapes. Viosinho gives the wine its structure and generous character, and is a grape known for its remarkable ability to interact with wood, while Gouveio adds to the wine great freshness, minerality, acidity, and elegance. Enjoy this magnificent white Douro while young, though it will reward those who choose to age it in bottle. An ideal partner for salt-cured fish, bacalhau (salt cod), shellfish, and strong cheeses such as São Jorge or Azeitão, or even with a pork loin. Allergen information: Contains sulphites. SKU: 100262
