**Quinta D'Azinheira** Region: Douro, Baixo Corgo sub-region. **Origin:** Quinta D'Azinheira is located in the authentic village of Azinheira, in Santa Marta de Penaguião, within an amphitheatre of extraordinary natural beauty on the left bank of the Corgo River. The wines are made exclusively from estate-grown grapes, cultivated at altitudes between 300 and 400 metres. Among the greatest legacies left by previous generations are the old vines, planted in schist soils with high stone content, aged between 40 and 80 years. A living heritage that expresses the authenticity of the region. **Winemaking and ageing:** The grapes, fresh and at optimal ripeness, were hand-harvested into 20 kg crates and carefully transported to the winery. After a meticulous manual selection, they were destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation took place in stone lagares with mechanized treading and pump-overs, under temperature control. Aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels.
