Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, renowned for its premium wines and ports, with a history dating back to 1815. Though it has undergone several changes, it has always remained part of the founding family, and in 1988 it returned to the market with its first house port. Today, the estate is represented by the Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras wines, celebrated not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hotel and restaurant facilities, providing a fresh perspective on the Douro. Quinta de la Rosa spans roughly 62 hectares along the north bank of the river, producing wines that are rich and exhibit notable acidity, minerality, and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, which produces the Passagem wines, covers 100 hectares (acquired in 2005), of which 38 hectares are planted with vines. (illustrative image)
