Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, renowned for its premium wines and ports. Its history began in 1815. Although it has undergone several changes, it has always remained in the hands of the family that founded it, and in 1988 it returned to the market with the production of the estate's first Port wine. Today, Quinta de la Rosa is represented by the Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras wines, recognized not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hotel and restaurant operations, which offer a fresh perspective on the Douro region. Quinta de la Rosa covers about 62 hectares along the north bank of the river and produces wines that are rich and display remarkable levels of acidity, minerality, and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, which produces the Passsagem wines, is a 100-hectare property acquired in 2005, of which 38 hectares are planted with vines. (image for illustrative purposes only)
